the 12th PTNCE Conference

22-24, September 2027, Cracow, Poland

Kraków, the former capital of Poland, is a historic city in southern Poland, beautifully situated on the banks of the Vistula River. Known for its rich cultural heritage and majestic architecture, it is one of the country’s most important centers of history, science, and culture. At the heart of the city lies the historic Old Town, with the impressive Wawel Castle, the Main Market Square, and the famous St. Mary’s Basilica.

With a history dating back to the 7th–8th century, Kraków has played a central role in the history of Poland. Its location at the crossroads of important medieval trade routes helped the city flourish, particularly during the 15th and 16th centuries. Today, Kraków combines its royal past with a vibrant student and cultural scene, creating a unique atmosphere where tradition meets modernity.

The main venue for the conference talks is the Institute of Public Health of Jagiellonian University of Collegium Medicum at ul. Skawińska 8. The building is shown in the picture opposite.

The conference venue is located in the university medical campus, close to the Vistula boulevards and within walking distance of Wawel Castle and the historic Kazimierz district. It is approximately a 20–25 minute walk (about 1.5–1.8 km) from the Main Square.
