the 12th PTNCE Conference

Dear Colleagues,

The Board of the Polish Society for Human Evolutionary Studies would like to share an important update regarding this year’s PTNCE conference, which had previously been announced to take place in Białystok in September.

We regret to inform you that, due to organisational problems faced by the conference organisers that were beyond the control of the PTNCE committee, the organisers were not able to finalise conference preparations within the required timeframe. , the PTNCE Board has been forced to make the difficult decision not to hold the conference this year.

This decision is particularly regrettable for us, as PTNCE conferences have become an important tradition and an annual meeting place for scholars interested in evolutionary perspectives on human behavior and cognition. For many of us, the conference has been not only a forum for scientific exchange, but also a valued opportunity to meet colleagues, collaborators, and friends who have been part of our academic community for many years.

At the same time, we are pleased to share some good news. We have already begun preparations for the next PTNCE conference, which will take place in September 2027, in Cracow. We believe that this meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to come together again, exchange ideas, and further strengthen our scientific community.
